Job Opening – Park Leader

 

Do you want a key role in one of Norway’s largest climbing parks — helping create unforgettable outdoor experiences for everyone?

Klatring på Grensen is looking for a confident, structured and solution-oriented Park Leader for the 2026 season. As Park Leader, you are responsible for daily operations, team leadership and the safe execution of activities in the park.

This is an active leadership role in the field — perfect for someone who enjoys responsibility, people and a varied outdoor workday.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations and execution of the day’s schedule

  • Lead and support park attendants throughout the day

  • Welcome groups and conduct safety briefings

  • Coordinate rescue situations and incidents

  • Ensure good flow in the climbing park and additional activities

  • Inspect facilities and safety systems

  • Handle evacuation or park closure if needed (weather/incidents)

  • Report to the general manager and operations manager

  • Contribute to excellent guest experiences across the park

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is confident in a leadership role and communicates well

  • Enjoys responsibility and decision-making in an active environment

  • Has a strong focus on safety and structure

  • Is positive, solution-oriented and service-minded

  • Speaks Norwegian or English well

Season & Working Hours

  • Season: April – October

  • High season from June to mid-August

  • Variable working hours with busy days during peak season

What does the role involve?

As a park attendant, you are an important part of the guest experience. You welcome visitors with a smile, ensure activities are carried out safely, and help keep the park running smoothly throughout the day.

Tasks include:

  • Assisting guests in the climbing courses

  • Safety briefings and equipment checks

  • Supervising low and high courses

  • Rescue work and safe handling of situations at height

  • Reception and kiosk work when needed

  • Keeping grill areas, toilets and common spaces tidy

  • Communicating with the park leader via radio

  • Helping every guest feel seen and included

Job Opening – Reception & Guest Experience Host

Do you enjoy working with people, creating great experiences, and being part of an active outdoor environment?

At Klatring på Grensen, we are looking for a service-minded and responsible Reception & Guest Experience Host for the 2026 season.
This role is perfect for someone who wants to work closely with guests, help them feel welcome, and contribute to safe and memorable experiences — even without climbing themselves.

This is not just a summer job — it’s a role where you help create structure, safety, and a warm atmosphere for everyone visiting the park.

What does the role involve?

As a Reception & Guest Experience Host, you are often the first person our guests meet.
You help them get started, guide them to the right activities, and make sure their visit runs smoothly.

Your tasks may include:

  • Welcoming guests and registering arrivals

  • Selling climbing packages and additional activities

  • Booking and organizing activities such as alpaca walks

  • Handing out harnesses and helping guests put them on

  • Explaining park rules and guiding guests to the right experience

  • Receiving groups and coordinating their arrival

  • Setting up and supervising bungee trampolines

  • Preparing the park for opening and closing routines

  • Keeping the reception area organized, clean, and well-stocked

  • Refilling shop items and maintaining the workspace

  • Working closely with the Park Leader throughout the day

  • Contributing to overall safety and good flow in the park

  • Helping care for the alpacas when needed

You do not need to be a climber — strong people skills and good judgment are more important.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys meeting people and making them feel welcome

  • Has strong communication and customer service skills

  • Is structured, reliable, and solution-oriented

  • Likes working outdoors and being active during the day

  • Works well in a team and communicates clearly with colleagues

  • Speaks Norwegian or English

Experience in hospitality, tourism, retail, or service work is a plus — but motivation and attitude matter most.
