What is Klatring på Grensen?
Klatring på Grensen is one of Norway’s largest climbing parks, featuring 25 courses of varying difficulty, ziplines.
We have courses for climbers of all ages – from 2.5 to 100 years old!

We’re located near the border between Norway and Sweden – about 10 minutes from Svinesund.

🧗Do you accept groups outside regular opening hours?
Yes! We welcome groups by appointment even outside our normal opening hours.
Perfect for schools, companies, events or larger families.

How do I book tickets?
You can easily book through our website.
We recommend booking in advance – especially on weekends and during school holidays.
Do I need to book in advance?
We recommend it! That way you're guaranteed a spot and a harness.
Drop-in is possible if we have available capacity.
Do you offer group discounts?
Yes, we have special rates for schools, companies, and groups.

How does cancellation work?

Tickets purchased through the website are non-refundable.
Exceptions:

In case of illness, a doctor’s note must be provided. The amount will then be refunded as a gift card.

The date of your visit can be changed.
Free for those who don't climb?
Yes, it's free to be in the climbing park if you're not climbing.
We also recommend taking a walk on our beautiful forest trails and stopping by our kiosk while you're here.
💪 For adults – just as much achievement as fun
While many families visit us with children, Klatring på Grensen is far more than a park for kids.
Our 25 climbing courses range from easy to extremely challenging, offering both excitement and a real sense of accomplishment for adults – whether you're a first-time climber or seeking serious height and adrenaline.
Many adults are surprised by how physically and mentally demanding some of the courses are.
Here, you’ll put your balance, coordination, and strength to the test – and most of all, your limits.
Guests often tell us they leave with a deep sense of achievement and pride after doing something they never thought they’d dare to try.
🎒 Safety Rules & Guidelines
🌸 Pink courses – designed for the youngest climbers, ages 2.5-6.

Children in this age group can be accompanied by an adult from the ground.
In the Pink+ courses, we offer a free follow-harness for adults.
🟢 Green courses +115 cm - easy

Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult in the courses.

One adult can accompany 3–4 children, but for children under 8 years old, we recommend fewer per adult.
🔵 Blue courses +115 cm - Medium difficulty

Children aged 10 and up can climb the green, blue, and purple courses on their own, as long as they meet the height requirements for each course.
🟣 Purple courses + 140 cm - Medium difficulty+

🔴 Red og ⚫ Black courses +150 cm - Challenging

Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult in the course if they want to climb the red or black courses.

Participation requires that the child meets the minimum height for the course.
Safety Rules

Maximum weight for climbing: 120 kg.

Rules for children must be strictly followed.

All participants must complete a safety briefing before climbing.

Climbing is not permitted under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Anyone who does not follow instructions may be asked to leave the area.

Smoking is only permitted in designated areas due to the risk of forest fires.

Open flames are not allowed.
We offer gas grills that can be used free of charge in the park. -
Help us protect nature by staying on marked trails.
Climbing is not recommended for the following individuals:
- Pregnant individuals
- Persons with heart or lung conditions
- Persons with neck, back, or shoulder injuries
We have nice trails under the courses, so you can easily follow those who are climbing.
Is it safe to climb in your park?
Yes! Everyone receives thorough training before starting, and we use a continuous belay system.
Our instructors are present and keep an eye on what’s happening in the courses.
📏What are the height requirements?
We have courses for both big and small climbers.

🧤 What should we wear?
Wear clothes suitable for physical activity and the weather, along with sneakers or hiking shoes.
We do not recommend sandals or open-toed shoes in the courses.
Do we need our own equipment?
No – all necessary climbing equipment (harness, helmet, and pulley) is included.
For safety reasons, it is not allowed to use your own equipment in the park.
🧤 Do you sell gloves?
Yes, we recommend using gloves, and they are available for purchase in our kiosk. For groups, gloves should be ordered in advance.
🐕 Are dogs allowed in the Climbing Park?
Yes, you can bring your dog. Please bring waste bags and keep your dog on a leash at all times.
🏕️ Facilities
Do you have a kiosk or food service?
Yes! We sell ice cream, coffee, cold drinks, and snacks. You are also welcome to bring your own food to grill – we have gas grills available for use.
🚻 Do you have toilets and changing facilities?
Yes, we have clean toilet facilities and a place to change clothes. We also have a designated accessible toilet with a changing table.
🅿️ Is there parking?
JYes, we offer free parking right next to the park. If you have an electric car, you can charge it at Svinesundsparken, just a 7-minute drive from the Climbing Park.

☔ Weather and Opening
What happens if it rains?
We climb in all kinds of weather! Only in cases of very strong winds or thunderstorms do we need to close certain courses. Dress appropriately for the conditions.
How long can we climb?
The day pass is valid all day from 10 AM to 5 PM – or for as long as you have the energy! We recommend arriving early to make the most of your day.
